Building Excellence in Every Step
From design, manufacturing, testing and installation, our team is always focused on building products that last. Contact UsAir Control has been successful for 60 years due to its obsession with building excellence into every process step. This quality program is centered around its custom quality engineering, manufacturing and testing stages, but also governs functions of customer relations, purchasing, product testing, and after-sale unlimited support. Excellence is designed into each internal process from the first time our sales personnel speak to potential clients to the time user training is conducted in the field.
A “Built-In” Quality system ensures that quality checks are followed and signed off on, before the project may move to the next level. This is guaranteed from the procedures used for our estimating department to generate detailed quotations, to the order department’s processing of internal control documents once a quotation becomes an order, to engineering designs which capture all product details accurately, to the accurate release to manufacturing, to final test and shipping procedures, and on to on-site equipment start-up, commissioning and user training.
Design
Once Air Control’s engineering department receives an accurate order document the custom engineering process begins. The latest AutoCAD drawings, schematics, and diagrams are generated. Specialty parts are sourced and detailed. Test protocols are written for custom enclosures. Detailed submissions are sent to the client.
Manufacturing
Once the design is approved by the client and released to the factory, Air Control’s Built-In Quality program governs that a unit may not progress from one factory department to the next without sign-off from the QC manager. This avoids adding layers or work on potential defects, compounding a quality issue and wasting work and time. All products start with full CNC plastics and stainless-steel cutting, so that all pieces and parts are saved electronically for future duplication if necessary, along with precise dimensional tolerances.
Testing
Units are tested in Air Control’s Class 100 Cleanroom test area. 3rd party ASHRAE and UL certifiers perform testing per industry standard codes and recommendations. Air Control employs a ZERO-DEFECT QUALITY CONTROL mission statement. Nothing can ship with a defect. Exhaustive testing checklists are maintained along with complete and meticulously written user documentation.
Post Installation
Once installation is complete, Air Control technicians arrive on site to confirm that installation meets our quality standards and to perform start up, unit commissioning and end-user training. The same rigorous quality standardization of processes are employed during this phase, ensuring all systems and features are thoroughly tested and verified.
